Aquatech China, Asia’s leading trade show for water technology and solutions, is celebrating its 15th anniversary this June in Shanghai. The show will bring together more than 1,750 exhibitors from over 45+ countries and attract over 65,000 visitors, including industry professionals and representatives from government, international organisations and businesses.
Aquatech is all about water and provides a platform to share knowledge, explore new business opportunities, and gain insights into the latest developments in the water sector in China. With ever-growing government support to solve water issues and rising market demand, Aquatech China is the perfect opportunity to connect with the Chinese water market.
As China fully reopened for international visitors and many international exhibitors are on the calendar this spring, Aquatech China is a must-go for professionals and companies looking to launch or expand their business in China.
The power of the human touch
“It is essential for people to meet and shake hands to forge new partnerships. That is what you feel when you walk the show floor. Cultural differences melt when people meet in person.”, says Annette Bos, Director of Aquatech Global Events, “Water is an urgent and complex topic. Local challenges can be matched to global solutions, and meeting face-to-face and diving deep into partnerships can make all the difference in achieving just that.”
Rising demand for watertech in China
As the world continues to grapple with the effects of climate change and the need to find sustainable and renewable sources of energy, the importance of water in the global market has never been more evident. With the government’s increasing focus on tackling water issues, the demand for new water technologies is rising. This has led to a surge in the number of companies looking to enter the Chinese market and source new products and solutions.
Aquatech China 2023 has a firm focus on wastewater treatment solutions. According to China Water Risk's 2018 report, China generates approximately 220 million tons of wastewater every year. Of the total wastewater, only around 45% is treated. Furthermore, around 70% of China's cities are estimated to suffer from water shortages. There is a global opportunity for wastewater treatment solutions, and China is no exception.
All about water
Like the other Aquatech tradeshows, topics in China are ALL about water. The exhibition covers the whole water cycle, from Waste Water Treatment to Resource Recovery, Sustainable Water Solutions, Digital Solutions, Industrial & Corporate Water, Urban Water, Storage and Distribution, Clean & Drinking Water.
Aquatech China will be held in Shanghai’s National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) from June 5-7, 2023.
